Behavioral Health – and your tax dollars spent promoting it

“The state would spend the money on multiple initiatives, including $1.25 billion to boost primary care with aid for strategic planning, electronic health records, quality improvement and behavioral health.”

Behavioral Health is defined as – “the relationship between human behavior, individually or socially, and the well-being of the body, mind, and spirit[citation needed], whether the latter are considered individually or as an integrated whole.”

Our STATE will now change our behavior so we feel better. “You fine today, its a lovely day, you are healthy, be well, take you medicine, don’t steal, don’t drink more than 16 oz, goto the doctor”

Whats next, subliminal ads on our ipads, iphones and in our homes?

Obama “plan” to increase jobs is to increase government employees!

Obama plan for job growth –  increase the size of government!

So our brilliant president’s plan for our once great nation is to increase the size of our already bloated, inefficient, spend my money government.
BRILLIANT!

Did you KNOW the IRS is hiring! Obama care aka “Enormous national TAX” needs more people to audit, check on and penalize the bad Americans that do not pay into it.

The inevitable creep of socialism, historically, its not made up, read your history-

Governments establish more and more control over our everyday lives
Governments begin control over basic seemingly simple thing under the guise of “public good and safety”
Government increases national debt to lower value of country
Government increases taxes
Government begin slow attack of “the rich” and begins the whisper of class warfare
Government begins slow attack on businesses by burdening them with taxes & regulations
Government weakens national dollar
Government rewards failure
Government rewards and supports entitlement concept and targets specific classes of people that support it
Government increase size of compliance system aka – IRS etc..
Government begins distributing wealth

Does it sound familiar?
Its not conspiratorial – its happening
step back – read history, learn and then apply it to your America Today
You be the judge – I hope you judge correctly for the sake of all!

The 16oz Drink Debacle – I will have 2 large fries, tripple patty burger and a SMALL DIET COKE!

Mayor Bloomberg is pushing to ban any drink over 16 oz because we are fat and don’t know any better. It seems is philosophy is the same as our presidents, “The government knows better – they know how healthy we should be” They will control our weight, they will control our health, they will the foods we eat – THIS IS NOT A TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My question to the mayor in banning large drinks is that if he truly believes we are fat and need the government to manage our food intake and change or behavior for our “better good”, then why is Shake Shack allowed to keep its doors open?

I am not attacking Shake Shack, McDonalds or any other food establishment. I firmly believe its MY choice and in what I choose to eat and which establishment i choose to spend my money in.

However based upon the Mayors theory, these establishments do more harm than our 32 ounce drink. Shake Shack and Mcdonalds and Burger King etc… server thousands of people a day  – just look at their calorie count for an average hamburger, fries and drink meal – and we think a smaller drink is going to help? Its akin to ordering large fries, a hamburger, chicken nuggets and a diet drink – meaningless.

Whats the average calorie count of a Sake Shake meal for the average person? 1000, 1500, 2000 calories? Hence the mayors attack on large drinks is selective – how much in taxes do these restaurants pay the city? and you think it was about your health?

Whats next dictating how large the portion size will be allowed in restaurants (hmm i believe they already dictate salt), the size of a hamburger? size of fries? Or will be issued a Food Intake Card – where we will have to swipe it at every restaurant we visit and if we visit some more than once a day, sorry you cannot be served.

Do you think this is far off? Obama care is already going ot penalize you if you do not “conform” to the health status the government sets -how far of a leap is this? Don’t forget, we WILL need a national health ID card for the socialized insurance to work – ………….

National ID card, meal card, restriction card, penalize me card… its coming.
Perhaps White Castle with their small burgers always had the right idea!

Mayor Bloomberg cannot be selective in his”idea” of helping us be healthy – if he is truly want to promote health, than he has to “control” all food establishments and ALL stores that sell food.Remember we can still goto a food store and purchase a 64oz bottle of soda

Wait a moment – the government does not have to ban sizes of food items – all they need to do is tax us on anything over a certain size! They do it now with our cars and houses – its called a “gas guzzler tax” and a “mansion tax” Remember in a previous post, that they are thinking of charging extra to register your car based upon its weight – its coming!

So we will be taxed into good health!
Welcome to Obama care!

Obama announced today that he wants to bail out all businesses!

Is there no end to this madness!

Obama’ s plan to fix the economy and bring jobs back to the US is to give our money away!
That’s his economic plan?
And he is shouting that Mitt Romney has no plan?
Is he kidding us here!

GM was a good bailout? The company owes us 34billion dollars that we will never get back! They still cannot compete in the car market, have no innovations, kept the unions on board and continues to pay unsustainable wages and pension plans and last year GM gave a 30 million dollar advertising contract to a British company! Lets not forget the additional raises GM execs gave themselves for a job well done!

So bailing out companies that continue business as “failed” usual and pat themselves on the back for a good job well done is his economic plan!

Whats more frightening, is that the people he was telling this to were cheering him! His perpetration of class warfare, supporting of an entitlement culture and his Robin Hood philosophy actually resonates with this group of people who want everything for nothing.

And he will get re-elected – WHERE IS ROMNEY ATTACKING THIS PRESIDENTS RECORD – does he want to win?

Margaret Thatcher, in a television interview for Thames TV This Week on February 5, 1976. Prime Minister Thatcher said, “…and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people’s money. It’s quite a characteristic of them.”

“Socialism is a philosophy of  failure, the  creed of ignorance, and the gospel of  envy, its  inherent virtue is the equal sharing of  misery..”—Winston  Churchill

Feds look to health IT to improve behavioral health

I do not care for the intent of the title of this article – no matter what the article reads, it states to me that the feds want to change my or your behavior using technology – sounds socialistic to me – ever read George Orwell s, 1984? Read on – way to many parallels for my liking – what do you think?

Nineteen Eighty-Four is a novel by George Orwell published in 1949. It is a dystopian and satirical novel set in Oceania, where society is tyrannized by The Party and its totalitarian ideology.[1] The Oceanian province of Airstrip One is a world of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, and public mind control, dictated by a political system euphemistically named English Socialism (Ingsoc) under the control of a privileged Inner Party elite that persecutes all individualism and independent thinking as thoughtcrimes.[2] Their tyranny is headed by Big Brother, the quasi-divine Party leader who enjoys an intense cult of personality, but who may not even exist. Big Brother and the Party justify their rule in the name of a supposed greater good.[1] The protagonist of the novel, Winston Smith, is a member of the Outer Party who works for the Ministry of Truth (Minitrue), which is responsible for propaganda and historical revisionism. His job is to re-write past newspaper articles so that the historical record always supports the current party line.[3] Smith is a diligent and skilful worker, but he secretly hates the Party and dreams of rebellion against Big Brother.

As literary political fiction and as dystopian science-fiction, Nineteen Eighty-Four is a classic novel in content, plot, and style. Many of its terms and concepts, such as Big Brother, doublethink, thoughtcrime, Newspeak, and memory hole, have entered everyday use since its publication in 1949. Moreover, Nineteen Eighty-Four popularised the adjective Orwellian, which describes official deception, secret surveillance, and manipulation of the past by a totalitarian or authoritarian state

Feds look to health IT to improve behavioral health
By Dan Bowman

The federal government will hand out more than $4 million in grants nationwide in an effort to use health information technology to help substance abuse and mental health professionals in underserved areas, according to an announcement.

The six U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grants range from $718,000 to $840,000. According to SAMHSA, grant recipients will use the money to pay for technologies such as smartphones, behavioral health electronic applications and web-based services to improve communications, tracking and management efforts.

Among the grantees are the Iowa Department of Public Health in Des Moines, slated to receive $838,200; the Irene Stacy Community Mental Health Center in Butler, Pa., which will receive $718,547; and Promesa Behavioral Health, Inc., in Fresno, Calif., which will receive $840,000.

The grants are part of a three-year effort announced by SAMHSA last October that will provide up to $25 million to a total of 29 behavioral health treatment programs across the U.S.

Momentum for incentivizing the use of technology for behavioral health and substance abuse providers has been steadily growing of late. A bill introduced to the House earlier this summer by Rep. Tim Murphy (R-Pa.) seeks to extend Meaningful Use incentives to eligible providers who offer such treatment. What’s more, the Rhode Island Quality Institute in March received a $600,000 grant from the federal government to extend access to its statewide health information exchange to behavioral health providers.

Obama changes the law again – in is favor

Obama loves to change laws to fit his needs

It seems years ago he signed into law that companies MUST give 60 day notice to employes of suspected layoffs

Well – TODAY he told the labor department to “advise” companies not to do this!
Advise companies to break the law? Yes sir – our president AGAIN broke the law!
Why? does not want to raise unemployment numbers before the election! So when he wins again, wait till you see the numbers.

1st was the illegal aliens
now its the labor department

And he gets away with it!
Sadly he will be reelected

If this was any of us – we would be arrested!

Rise of Socialism

So lets see what they took:
Our SALT on foods
Our large drinks
Our sugar
Our insurance
Our doctors
Our cigarettes
Our baby formula
Our businesses – because we did not do it alone
Our money
Our cell phones in the car
Our testing of prostate cancer testing– too expensive for them so its not good
Our breast exam testing – too expensive for them
Our choice of cars – gas guzzler tax – when billions of our money have been wasted on “alternatives”
Nurses are doctors
Were fat
Were stupid
We don’t know better
They are coming for you guns
They are installing cameras to give you tickets
They are watching

I predict……..
they will penalize you if you are fat
they will penalize you if you smoke
they will penalize you if you don’t exercise
they will penalize you if you are not the “ideal healthy” human they want you to be
They will distort “see something – say something” to have you report thy neighbor – can you say animal farm?
they will take your liquor
they will stop you from txting and walking
They will limit the size of portions in restaurants
They will tell you what type of movies you can see and what type will be made
If Obama care works ONLY as a tax what else will not?

Remember – they already penalize our hard work and effort
They will come for you – history repeats itself – I suggest we all read and learn about it BEFORE they rewrite the past

The inevitable destructive creep of socialism –
